As part of our Board Chair and Co-Founder Marjorie Abalos’ “mission in life” to improve the delivery of healthcare where they need it most, she created the Schmoozing with the Stars™ initiative to bring motivational speakers to themed events advancing both “individual and community wellness.”

We hosted our Schmoozing with the Stars™ debut event for the American Cancer Society’s “Topping $200,000 Event” with featured “schmoozer” Pat Mahomes Sr., former Major League Baseball pitcher for the Twins, Mets, Red Sox, Pirates, Rangers, and Cubs, and the father of Patrick Mahomes, 2018 NFL Most Valuable Player.

“Topping $200,000 Event”

To validate our Schmoozing with the Stars™ initiative’s concept to bring motivational speakers to themed events advancing both “individual and community wellness,” we created the “Topping $200,000 Event” to assist American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life of Marlton in New Jersey to top its annual fundraising goal.

The pilot event featured former Major League Baseball pitcher Pat Mahomes Sr. at Miller’s Ale House in Mount Laurel on August 28, 2019. His motivational talk and subsequent Schmoozing with the Stars™ interactions with guests created an uplifting and enjoyable evening for all attendees, including participants and sponsors of the annual Relay For Life of Marlton, community leaders, and various public officials.
